MALDEN GOLF CLUB
DRESS RULES

IN THE CLUBHOUSE

  • Smart Casual Dress
  • (Gentlemen) jacket and tie/polo neck/cravat
  • (Gentlemen) knee length tailored shorts and knee length predominately single colour socks or predominately white short sports socks.  "Training shoe" socks are not permitted

 "SMART CASUAL DRESS" DOES NOT INCLUDE

  • Soiled golf clothing (inc. caused by heavy perspiration)
  • Shirts worn outside trousers
  • Not wearing socks or shoes
  • Collarless shirts
  • All types of denim including Jeans
  • Trainers

 ON THE COURSE, PUTTING GREEN AND PATIO

  • Golf shirts with collars, with either long or short sleeves. Shirts must be tucked into trousers or shorts at all times
  • Tailored golf trousers (or plus fours/twos) and golf shirt
  • Tailored shorts (no patch pockets) cut at the knee with knee length predominately single colour socks or predominately white short sports socks which must be ankle height. "Training shoe" socks are not permitted
  • Recognised golf shoes only on the course

 THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE

  • Shirts worn outside trousers
  • Short shorts, training shorts and athletic shorts
  • Trousers tucked into socks
  • Collarless Shirts
  • All types or colour of denim, paramilitary or camouflage style trousers, combat trousers (multi pockets), cut-offs or tracksuits

 HATS
Peaked caps if worn, must have the peak at the front

"GENTLEMEN" INCLUDES JUNIOR MEMBERS

It is expected that clothing soiled while playing will be changed before entering the bar or dining room.

On no account should golf shoes be worn in the clubhouse, other than in the changing room.

Members are required to remind guests and visitors to the club of the standards of dress expected.

ON THE COURSE MOBILE TELEPHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF AT ALL TIMES, AS A COURTESY TO YOUR PLAYING PARTNERS AND OTHER MEMBERS. THEY MAY BE USED ONLY IN AN EMERGENCY HEALTH SITUATION. THEY MAY BE USED IN THE MEN'S AND LADIES LOCKER ROOMS AND IN THE TELEPHONE CUBICLE BY THE FRONT DOOR. THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE PUTTING GREEN, IN ALL OTHER AREAS OF THE CLUBHOUSE OR ON THE PATIO
