Are you an experienced golfer looking for competitive play? Or do you prefer social rounds and fun competitions in a friendly, supportive environment? Whatever your level or golfing goals, the welcoming and inclusive Malden Women’s Section offers something for everyone.
We run a full calendar of events, including monthly medals and Stablefords on both weekends and weekdays, as well as knockout competitions throughout the summer and winter seasons in singles, foursomes, and four-ball better-ball formats. Alongside these, we host a variety of special event days and fun competitions to keep golf enjoyable and engaging for all.
We’re also passionate about supporting new golfers. Our Academy members are actively encouraged to join specific fun events, helping to build their confidence and introduce them to the competitive side of the game in a relaxed, encouraging setting.
Members of our Women’s Section also represent the club in Surrey county competitions and friendly matches against other clubs, fostering both skill development and lasting friendships.
For those who enjoy mixed golf, we offer an expanding programme of mixed midweek roll-ups and mixed pair competitions and if you need a playing partner, we’ll be more than happy to match you with someone.

Women's Academy
We are very proud of our thriving Academy at Malden golf club. This was founded in 2016 as a pathway into membership by our Head Professional Ben Tebbs. Since its induction many would be golfers have developed into fine players, representing the club and even going on to Captain our Women’s section.

Our Professional team will guide you seamlessly through the learning process. Academy members will receive 12 individual lessons and 6 group lessons. Professional Bill Palmer provides the monthly group sessions alongside individual. To ensure 7-day coverage for tuition, Ben Tebbs, Head Professional, will be also available for individual tuition.
We have a dedicated WhatsApp group which lists the group session dates and upcoming events.
Once you are proficient enough to play the course, access times detailed below apply.

Friday – After 4 pm (2 pm Winter)

Partners Rate - £525
*A full or five-day member may introduce one partner to the academy and receive a partner discount. Those eligible for the partner rate are, Sisters, Wives, Partners, Mothers, Daughters, & Step Relations.
Golf Studio Pass - £85
The Academy is a 12-month program, leading towards a full membership.

"Following early retirement, I joined the Academy in November 2017. I was a complete novice; however, it was not long before I was hooked. It was great to meet other beginners and the lessons, both group and individual gave me the confidence to go out on the course. The Women's section was so welcoming and encouraging. I joined as a full member in November 2018 and golf is now such an important part of my life. My husband and two children are also members and we have enjoyed fun and competitive golf together. Golf has been beneficial for my mental and physical well-being and I have made great friends.
I was Lady Captain in 2022-23 and I am now the Women in Golf Charter Champion.
